Trader Joes

It's been over a month since I have last updated this blog. I've been drawing but I'm trying to keep some architecture drawings secret................... ehehehehehe
I honestly don't know what to write. Descriptions? Materials I've used?

The paper I used was the back of a trader joe's bag. I used pencil, colored pencils, white gel pen and a black brush pen.

mineral necklaces

pen & gouache paint on watercolor paper
I have a thing for mineral necklaces.

I've always been attracted to shiny things.
mineral rocks are no exception.
When I first found out about them I was like,

OH MY GOD I FOUND DIAMONDS IN THIS ROCK OHMYLORD I AM RICH!
I'M RICH!
HOLY MOUNTAINS I AM RICH!!!

granted, this was when I was 5 and anything shiny made me think diamonds.

anyhow, here is my daily sketch illustration.

keep it classy.

Charlotte Street Sylvie Satchel (what a long name)

Pen, Gouache paint on watercolor paper. photoshop cs5.
Kate Spade: Charlotte Street Sylvie Satchel

I mean, I could afford it, but I'd rather eat 25 chipotle bowls instead.
or 50 in-n-out meals.
or 250 tacos.
or ....you get what I mean.

Material Girl

Daisy by Marc Jacobs
Pen, Gouache paint & some photoshop magic

I'm going to start a new series called: Material Girl

Based on my desires as a poor material being, and my wanting such and such things, I've decided to be proactive about my wishlist and creating art out of it. I hope you can sit through a materialistic blog.
[oh goshers!]

The blog will contain other art such as architectural case studies and other stuff I find interesting.

TBT - Throwback Thursday

medium: pen in sketch book

Throwback Thursday. This sketch reminds me of when I took 10-30 minutes out of my time to take a breather in NYC and draw. Throwback to last year. Wow. I returned a year later and found out the city hadn't changed much, but I did.
I grew as a person.
I grew as an artist.
I grew.... as a....

The best things come in three's, they say.
But I don't know what my last line would be.
Can you finish it for me?

I might make a case study of modern architecture.

I may compile all of my images/illustrations of architecture and put it in a book. Hopefully I don't get burnt out by the book before I hit the half-way mark. -____-'
